Privacy Policy

This Policy explains how DetailAIO LLC (“DetailAIO,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit detailaio.com or join our waitlist. By using the site, you agree to this Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

Who we are

DetailAIO LLC is a California limited liability company building an AI operating system for professional auto detailers. You can reach our privacy team at privacy@detailaio.com.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you join the waitlist we ask for:

• Your name (required)
• Your email address (required)
• Your phone number (optional)
• Your consent choices — whether you opted in to marketing email and/or SMS updates

Information we collect automatically

When you submit the waitlist form we log:

• Your IP address
• Your browser’s user-agent string
• The referring URL (where you came from)
• The date and time of your signup

This information is used for security, abuse prevention, and debugging. We do not currently use analytics tools, advertising cookies, or third-party trackers, and the site does not set tracking cookies.

How we use your information

1. Launch and product-update emails. Joining the waitlist is a request to be notified when DetailAIO opens. We will email you about launch timing, early access, and material product changes.
2. Marketing email (newsletter, tips, promotional offers) — only if you checked the marketing opt-in box on the signup form.
3. SMS updates — only if you provided a phone number and checked the SMS opt-in box. Standard message and data rates may apply.
4. Site operation and security. We use automatically collected information (IP, user agent, timestamps) to run the service, detect abuse, troubleshoot errors, and comply with law.
5. Legal compliance and protection of rights. When we reasonably need to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect our rights, safety, or property, or those of others.

We do not sell your personal information.

Legal basis for processing (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, our legal bases are:

• Your request / legitimate interest — for launch and product-update emails, because you asked us to contact you by joining the waitlist.
• Your consent — for marketing email and SMS (the separate opt-in checkboxes on the signup form).
• Legitimate interest — for site security, abuse prevention, and error debugging.
• Legal obligation — where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.

You can withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that happened before the withdrawal.

Who we share information with

We share information only as described below. We do not sell personal information.

• Service providers. We use Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host the site and store waitlist entries. AWS processes your data on our behalf under its standard data-processing terms.
• Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, property, or safety — ours, our users’, or the public’s.
• Business transfers. If DetailAIO is acquired, merges, or sells substantially all of its assets, your information may transfer to the successor entity, subject to this Policy (or a successor policy we will notify you about).

How long we keep your information

We keep waitlist entries until you ask us to delete them, or until shortly after DetailAIO launches — at which point we will either migrate your information into the live product (under a policy we will update and notify you about) or delete it.

Automatically-collected logs (IP, user agent, referer, timestamps) are retained for up to 12 months for security and debugging purposes, then deleted or anonymized.

How we protect your information

Waitlist data is stored in Amazon DynamoDB in the United States (AWS us-west-1 region). The database has server-side encryption enabled at rest and point-in-time recovery enabled. Traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted with TLS 1.3. Access to production systems is limited to people who need it for their work.

No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach involving your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access — ask us what we have on file for you.
• Correct — ask us to fix information that is wrong.
• Delete — ask us to remove your information.
• Unsubscribe from email — click the unsubscribe link in any marketing message, or email us.
• Stop SMS — reply STOP to any text message you receive from us.
• Object or restrict — object to our processing or ask us to limit it.
• Portability — get your information in a common format.
• Complain — if you are in the EEA or UK, you can complain to your local data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@detailaio.com from the address you used to sign up (or include that address in the message). We’ll respond within 30 days.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect and share, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise these rights, email privacy@detailaio.com. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

International data transfers

We store and process waitlist data on servers in the United States. If you are outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, which may have different data-protection laws than your country. We rely on your consent (for marketing and SMS) and legitimate interest (for service operation) as the basis for these transfers.

Children’s privacy

DetailAIO is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email privacy@detailaio.com and we will delete it.

Cookies and tracking

The landing page does not currently set tracking cookies or use third-party analytics or advertising pixels. If we add any in the future, we will update this Policy and, where required by law, request your consent first.

Third-party links

The site may link to third-party sites we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own — please read their policies before sharing information with them.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If changes are material we will notify you by email (if we have one on file) or post a prominent notice on the site. The “Effective” date at the top of this page shows when the current version went live.
